The first of two games the U.S. will never get in the Ace Attorney series, The Great Ace Attorney sure has style. Based on and including characters from Sherlock Holmes, Great Ace features the steampunk version of Sherlock assisting in cases with Naruhodou, a Japanese student turned world traveling defense attorney. The pair turn investigations into theatrical performances, waving their arms and snapping their fingers to detect lies and contradictions. Clearly incomplete without the 2nd game to give full context, Great Ace is an interesting spinoff that few have played due to its lack of an official English translation. The fan translation held up well in my experience.
My full playthrough of The Great Ace Attorney is now available on YouTube.
